Personal Attention and Support
Blending the best of both worlds, the outstanding online curriculum is a natural fit for today's teens while the in-person attendance also helps develop valuable collaboration and leadership skills.
A strong, award-winning curriculum is the foundation of the Nexus Academy learning experience. It meets state and national standards, as well as those set by leading educational organizations. Even more important, our curriculum is geared toward helping students gain the knowledge and thinking skills they’ll need to succeed in life, career, and higher education.
Our engaging curriculum includes:
Students choose a morning (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon) or afternoon (12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) session at the Nexus Academy campus four days a week and spend approximately twelve hours a week completing online lessons.
Our students begin their day with an advisory period dedicated to collaborative activities and college skill-building work with their Success Coaches. Then they attend small-group classes with their English and math teachers, who focus on each student’s needs in mastering the curriculum.
Students also meet with their Success Coaches one-on-one to talk about their goals and progress. And there’s plenty of time to form groups for schoolwork and club activities and to enjoy at least one fitness session each week with the on-site personal trainer!

"The curriculum challenges my students without being so hard that they can’t figure it out. In the end, they are prouder and have better esteem because their hard work has paid off."
